its been a crazy week ! this is episode 3 of the snowboard realms , since there is no snow on the ground here in vancouver I've been working a lot at home and that means working on art and videos ..
episode 3 has my 1999 sponsor me tape and an interview with source / dc team rider Devun Walsh ( sorry for the crappy filming , Devun talks pretty quiet and we were walking through an airport so i tried to keep the mic pointed at him more than the camera )
Devun and I both talk about how we got our starts in the snowboarding world . yeah soo like i said , the start of this is a little harder since there is no snow on the ground here , but this weekend everything changes nov 17th.

lucky number 13 !! the first real filming trip of the season. Justin Hare from the pirates film crew is here to film dan brisse and i for their new movie , and we hooked up with source team riders dwayne wiebe and ryan hall for a few days . so far its been tons of fun , hope you all enjoy . thanks for watching .

back to japan ! Union bindings , Deeluxe boots and Capita sprung for me to go to the slope contest .. some " bad " weather (depending on how you look at it, about 8 feet of snow fell in 3 days ) put a damper on things , slow snow caused me to come up short in qualifying. But thats fine , I didn't need $10000 anyway. I did get what i needed though , some quality rins with a group of friends on the other side of the world .
So this episode has a little of the group 2 qualifiers , when the snow let up and the sun came out , and then it has some of the slope rail contest . tons of fun so far.

First of all, Waxing your Snowboard is one of the easiest things that you can do to increase the performance of your Snowboard. Waxing makes the board easier to control, thus, it glides much better, increasing both your speed and the ease of turning. With this, you won't tire easily. Second, waxing prolongs the Snowboard's "useful life" since waxed bases are more resistant. Consequently, you get the most from your Snowboard. Lastly, Waxing can reduce the risk of minor damage to the base that disturbs the riding performance. With this in mind, both the pleasure and enjoyment of Snowboarding increases







Wax: be sure to buy ski or snowboard wax that is designed to be applied with a hot iron. There are plenty of choices, but a good all-temperature wax will work well in most snow conditions.
Scraper: pick this up at your favorite board shop along with the wax. Plastic or metal scrapers are both fine, just avoid really wide scrapers that are sometimes marketed for snowboards - they don't scrape as well as the smaller ones.



Iron: now might be a good time to invest in an iron designed especially for waxing skis and snowboards. These are smooth on the bottom and therefore apply a nice smooth coat of wax. Or you can go down to your nearest Salvation Army or Goodwill and pick up a used household iron for a few bucks.
Scotchbrite: these rough green pads are available at any grocery store next to the kitchen sponges. Towels also work well when buffing.
Some optional but helpful items:
Base Cleaner: if your snowboard's base is dirty, clean it using a base cleaner (find this at your board shop) and a rag before you hot wax it.
Vises: setting up a workbench makes tuning and waxing your board much easier. Vises are available that hold your snowboard in place while you work.

japan ... sometimes its more about making memories! i tried to film my friends and make a movie that they can look back on and remember one of the best days of snowboarding i haveever had . i remember growing up hearing about how good snowboarding in japan in the trees is, and i can now say that it is as good as they all say it is .
we hit a few rails and had a ton of fun . huge thanks to jt and the cpi crew for everything . we had so much fun . have fun everyone

BIG weekend in vail for this years honda session presented by game stop ,
it started cold and full of pow and ended with sun and a little extra loot in my pocket .
I was also named the big air gaming leagues first commissioner and battled the pbgl's commissioner Prince fielder in a little head to head guitar hero 3 .
i talked some mean game but ended up falling short . i took him in round 2 and round 3 was cut short when they turned the tv off on us...next time Prince....YOURE MINE !!
the weekend was a ton of fun , and i look forward to it again next year .
