The tour continued on to a little place called Gaylord Michigan. This is home to the Otsego Club. For 2 days, we called this little slice of heaven home. We wasted no time getting a MMW park setup. How to paint a snowboard. I used light grit sandpaper to scuff off the factory coating and give the board some tooth for the primer. I used a Dupli sealer primer and sanded in between each coat; 3 coats. I sprayed the board with a thinned down gesso and sanded between coats; 3 coats. Then had a blast painting this board with acrylic paint using brushes, airbrush, a mountain bike tire, and other techniques. The board is coated with a 2 part resin base automotive clear coat. Very durable, weather resistant and high gloss. The board was coated 6 times and I wet sanded with 1000, 1500, 2000 grit between coats and then finished up with a buffing comopound and then polish. This was our first camp held in the state of Ohio. Ohio, we love ya. We had a great group of campers, loved the energy, So-Gnar loves Ohio! Mad Riverrrrrrrrrrr! Day 2 at Mad River was the Progression Session and the Red Bull Buttercup Series. Ohio repped it heavy! There was enough free product to outfit the Buckeye football team. Every participant made there way back home with a bunch of goodies. Ohio, we can't wait to come back next year!
